Due to circumstances beyond her control, Dr. Larsson can no longer maintain the extremely high volume needed to operate a business dependent on the declining reimbursements from vision insurance companies. Yet, she desires to continue providing her services at significantly adjusted fees that would help reduce your out-of-pocket costs (for those whose insurance plans reimburse for out-of-network doctors), or perhaps even reduce your annual eye care costs to BELOW what you would pay for insurance premiums, co-pays, and uncovered expenses.
Many do not realize they could pay less on their corrective eye care needs by paying cash at big retail and corporate optometric businesses than they could through paying vision insurance premiums, co-pays, and other patient-responsible payments. With the growing number of online sources for corrective glasses and contacts, people have even more options for lowering their eye care costs.
Dr. Larsson understands these market dynamics and is adjusting her practice to provide the same affordable eye care with the consistent and personalized attention you should expect from a private practice. She will also help her patients choose the most cost-effective options for purchasing glasses while she rebuilds her inventory of frames.
